We have several well respected New York personal injury firms looking for remote paralegals to assist with personal injury claims.
The position requires a strong understanding of New York personal injury procedures, filing requirements, and deadlines. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a fast-paced caseload.
This is a unique opportunity for a paralegal to join a thriving practice dealing with an interesting case load whilst learning from highly experienced attorneys.
Key Responsibilities
• Opening and organizing new client files
• Managing litigation calendar, including tracking court dates and motion deadlines
• Drafting motions, complaints and summons
• Preparing and filing documents with the Courts
• Order, review, and summarize medical records, accident reports, employment records, and medical bills.
• Assisting with discovery
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
• Provide excellent client service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Previous Experience
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience working remotely as a personal injury paralegal for a New York firm (2 years + experience desired). Experience dealing with workers compensation claims is not relevant for this role.
• Experience drafting motions, complaints and summons.
• Experience with discovery and reviewing medical records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and manage high-volume caseloads.
• Proficient in legal case management software (such as Clio).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
