Here are 3 ways to get affordable data for your cold email campaigns

1. Snov/Phantom Buster

One of the cheapest options is using tools like Snov or Phantom Buster.

In order to start gathering data you will need a premium LinkedIn Sales Navigator account. This enables you to tap into LinkedIn’s userbase and essentially build a lookup containing the companies and decision makers you want to do business with.

Snov or Phantom Buster are Chrome Plugins that use these look ups to find the work emails.


Pros


Cheap. Snov offers plans starting from just $33 per month.

Email addresses are correct >90% of the time


Cons


You are using Sales Navigator to build a lookup. We’ve found that the directory on LinkedIn is not always 100% accurate and you will have to manually check the companies before launching a campaign.

2. Outsource

Another cheap way to source prospecting data is freelancing sites like UpWork.


You can post your requirements and freelancers will bid for your project. To prevent being inundated with messages we suggest adding the price per record you are willing to pay.


Pros


Cheap - depending on the volume of data (and the industries/job titles) you will find freelancers offering to source prospects from $0.02 per record.


Cons


The data quality can be questionable. We previously used this option for specific campaigns and found the number of ‘verified’ emails could be as low as 7%.


3. Apollo


In our opinion Apollo offers the best solution for companies looking for quality and quantity. They are a data provider with access to over 240 million B2B decision makers.

Pros


Easy to use.

Quality and volume of data.

Ability to search for decision makers where the email has already been verified.


Cons


Unrestricted access costs $6,000. There are cheaper plans available but you will be limited by the amount of prospects you can access each day.


Don’t forget to clean your data!
